Worthing News June 2015

May Bank Holiday the 4th the weather suddenly turned and it produced a bright sunny afternoon, at long last! This helped bring out all our visitors to indulge in a wonderful assortment of cakes baked locally by our ladies in Worthing. Cakes washed down with pots of tea and soft drinks for the younger people, in total 63 cups went into the dishwasher, so a fine turn out for this annual event. Our visitors who also took part in our raffle went home clutching their prizes and knowing they had contributed to supporting our little church. Therefore a big thank you to you all and not forgetting our volunteers who helped raise in total over £257. Well done everyone! Remember; put this date in your diary for next year which falls on Monday the 2nd May, slightly earlier.

Our next family service in June will be on Sunday the 14th at 11am which unfortunately does not fall on Father’s Day the 21st but we shall of course be praying, thinking and giving thanks for all the love, help and guidance that they have given us.

And finally, is there a “Sparky” close by. We need your help please. There is a small job that needs attention in our Vestry. The light fitting needs replacing. Materials will be supplied but your help would be appreciated. If anyone is up for the job, please ring Celia on tel: 01362 668928 or email c.daniel784@btinternet.com who will be waiting for you to make contact, thank you.
